Community Input Requested Looking for community input to help strengthen local “need based” services/resources using a questionnaire to gather general information about the population. Questionnaires were developed to better understand Page County with regard to housing, food and medical access. The information gathered will be shared with related organizations with hopes to better design services that match resident wants and needs.

PICKED! A Community Fresh Food Fix

Picked! in Page is an emerging group of local citizens interested in bringing fresh food to community tables on carrot at a time. Picked! relies one food based programing and entrepreneur activities to connect healthy food to local neighborhoods through farm market opportunities, community supported agriculture (CSA), cooperative partnerships, community gardens, and “one day” hopefully mobile outlets.

The foundation of any food system is determined by “food environments” that influence consumer choice and behavior. Successful food systems benefit nutrition, health and the well-being of a community. Food impacts social, economic and environmental patterns.

Picked! focuses on involving a community of people, all people, to shape the mix of agricultural and non-agricultural opportunities needed to build and strengthen a food system for sustainability and community health.
